I don’t know exactly when. There’s no clear line, no editor credit in most of the comics. But this is around when Stan Lee returns.
In Lee’s absence, funny-animal cartoonist Vince Fago has been the interim editor, with the understanding that it’s only until Lee returns from the war. With Lee back, Fago will eventually leave Marvel and illustrate children’s books. And...

Slowly Getting Interesting
I knew 1943 and 1944 would be the toughest slog of this whole project. Nothing was good, everything was generic, and not much happened. There were exceptions, like the debut of Miss America. But for the most part, even the new titles were just cookie-cutter combinations of the same old features. But in 1945, some things are going to happen:
